You're not alone. This healthcare teach-in is for you.

We will learn from healthcare expert, Amanda Dunker, what is actually in the proposed GOP healthcare bill and how it will affect New York City. There will also be an opportunity at the end to ask questions.

I am incredibly grateful to Amanda for agreeing to do this.

This is an educational event that is open to everyone, regardless of your politics or how politically active you are. Come and educate yourself. Knowledge is power!

Amanda Dunker has a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. She currently works as a Health Policy Associate at Community Service Society of New York (CSS), a 170 year old non-profit that advocates for the more than 3 million low-income New Yorkers. At CSS, part of Amanda's job is managing the Health Care for All New York (HCFANY) coalition, a statewide advocacy group focused on achieving quality, affordable health care for all New Yorkers. HCFANY was formed back in 2007 to get the Affordable Care Act passed and has been fighting for it ever since. Before coming to CSS, Amanda worked for the National Governors Association where she provided technical assistance to governors's offices as they implemented the ACA.
